As a gay boy, raised in a traditional Catholic Italian family, in the little town of Salerno, Southern Italy, I was born controversial.
My parents hoped for a ‘straight’ football-loving son, but instead, they got me—a gentle, sensitive boy who loved to dance. At school, I was bullied daily and was burdened with more negative labels than I care to remember.
